Life... Power? Car development is going into two extreme way. Japanese and European car maker is trying to create more smaller car to reduce pollution (K-Car). Also Toyota just released its hybrid car, the Prius. It has a price between a Corolla and a Camry, not as expensive as we thought for this electric beauty. It use a electric motor with 40 horsepower as well as a gasoline engine with 58 horsepower. It is very effective to reduce the pollution as well as improve the fuel efficient. The only problem is the car has too less power for American market. On the other hand, American automaker is making their car as BIG as possible. Ford is going to release a new SUV (I forget the name... the picture above is Explorer) that has a V10 engine, 9 seats, 4 tons and 30 cm longer than normal parking space. It is about 3 times as polluting as normal family car. One of the reason for making this kind of beast is the big profit. With a selling price of $50000 USD, about 30%, or $15000 is estimated as profit. Many surveys and analyst show buyer love trunk more than ever. However, do we need to tow a 1000 lbs boat everyday? Do we have to use the SUV to travel in woods and over mountain every week? If not why we need those big, fuel hungry car? P.S. American auto maker does trying to develop the small car as well, like the Chrysler Java. But most of them is only a concept car and the production date won't be near.

Lineage has been down for the whole day. Wonder when NCSoft will fix it. Because Lineage is too boring, I can't write much about it. Therefore, I have decided to add a new section -- the SideDisc. SideDisc will contain information generally about everything. Anything that I think is funny and worth to have a look. I will start the SideDisc today. Please email me for any comments.

Latest Apple PowerMac G4

Macintosh is not a very popular machine with less than 8% market share. However, many computer innovation is created by Apple. For example the Laser printer, SCSI and the most famous MacOS. MacOS is the foundation of the morden computer interface. Its graphical interface is very user friendly, even Windows 95 or later is a direct or indirect clone of MacOS. Apple also has amazing products. Not only in performance, but in style as well. The very-old Apple II's was very unique from the computer (heavy steel box) at that age. The Newton was the first PDA as well. However Apple has stopped the production of Newton due to its low sale. Other famous prodct from Apple includes its 20 years anniversary edition, the Performa series, PowerBook, iMac, iBook and the latest PowerMac series. However I don't like the G3 PowerMac series, it looks like a big iMac (which it looks like a toy.) I prefer the new G4.

Even Apple has a low market share, she has the most royal fans. People addict to Apple. Also you may notice in every (almost every) movie if the main character (usually the good guy) has to use a computer, they will use Apple. The same ting happens in many advertisement as well.

Sorry for long time no update. But as you know this game has few thing to say and very boring. Now I have better thing to do, need to get ready for university (who can give me scalorship T.T) There a still update that a /trade cannot process if one side is invisble. After you start the trade you will be visible if you wear cloak of invisibility. If you wear it and try to become invisible again, the trade will be canceled automaticly.

As I said this is a ultra boring game, perhaps later I will talk about other stuff than Lineage.

Today there is a small update. Some magic will require Magic Gem to cast. Cloak of Magic Resistance can add 10% MR (Magic Resistance) while Elven Shield can add 5%. Chain mail of magic resistance will be another item for resist magic, but perhaps wizard cannot wear it (wizards are limited to -3ac armor, chain mail is -5ac) Also a new status as spell power is introduced. This spell power represents the effectiveness of the spell. It is determined by your class and int. Knights has a spell power of -1. Notice you still need the old method to learn spell. So for wizard every 4 other level (not spell level) they can learn a higher level spell, elf requries 8 and prince/princess need 10. Now you cannot simply /surrounder if you are the castle owner. Attacker can set the time to start the seige war.

Also many new items will be added in the future. 50 new spell book represents 50 different spell will be added. Admin has not decide what will drop them yet. This is the only way to learn lv4+ spell, perhaps this is the only way a knight can use magic too. Diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald and magic gem will be added. They will be the necessity of high level spell in the future perhaps. NCSoft also plans to add a or forest or a orc castle. There will be 3 different new "guard" in the orc land. They are orc guard, orc ranger, orc scout.

yesterday Odyssey and Warzone PK many people in cave yesterday. They use cloak of invisibility and freeze you so you can't struggle. They said PK is art and they are too boring. PK is art? Well maybe, but it this case how to anti-PK is art because they resurrect many times, and just keep killing you. My friend has died for 5 times, losing two level. Most PK before will not resurrect you after PK you. It is really necesary to PK the same person so many times? One of my friend said "I am sorry to hear this, but this is Lineage." So is that mean the reason we get stronger is to PK other people, while get PK by more stronger people?

The test server ends yesterday. After shutting down the server for many hours, magic is added. All MP is recalculated, most have more MP than before. Now Magic page is updated again, it has more spell and screenshot. You can learn magic in Gereng if you meet the requirement. The cost of magic is calculated by square(magivLevel*10) So lv 1 magic cost 100 adena, lv2 cost 400 and lv 3 cost 900. We also have a 49 files update. The update includes:

• Magic is added.
• Recalculation of MP (see below)
• The MP/HP consumption is added beside the spell name.
• When create new account or change password, you have to make a 8-character long password, and you must have at least one non-alphbet character within.
• Show your spell level and MR% in your spell screen.
• Scroll of teleportation home, potion of mana and wand of polymorph other will be added.
• Effective since September 5, the leader of a pledge who invloved a seige war will level down by 1 if s/he lose the war.
• You need to be level 30 in order to chat.
